Reiki

Reiki Therapy EdinburghReiki Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life Force Energy”, an energy which is all around us.  There is no belief system attached to Reiki, only the desire to receive Reiki.  It supports all forms of treatment, orthodox and complementary. The method of receiving Reiki is a very simple process whereby the recipient lies down or sits in a relaxed comfortable manner.  There is no need to removing clothing.  The practitioner gently places her hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions on the body.  The whole person is treated as opposed to specific symptoms. It is gentle and safe for babies, children, adults, pregnant women, elders and animals.  It is not suitable for clients with broken bones or a pacemaker. Clients often report feelings of relaxation and calmness after a treatment. As with all complementary therapies it is best to avoid caffeine and alcohol following a treatment. Reiki for events works well in a quiet and calm environment and clients can be seated in an ordinary chair.  Sessions timings are adaptable to suit your client’s needs and timetable for the event.
